Jordy in Cape Town

In preparation for his upcoming assault on the World Tour, Jordy has been having some serious training time combined with some downtime in Cape Town. Not entirely downtime however, getting involved in the Rolling Retro event in LLandudno and working on his new movie with none other than Kai Neville.
The results have been good so far. Fairly quiet, not too much seeping out onto the social media networks, but a few choice photographs have slipped out here and there.
The first event of the year is the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast at Snapper Rocks. Jordy scored a third place finish here in the past, as well as a second place finish. Only one more spot to get to.
At the beginning of his Cape Town, the waves were small and the wind was howling. Jordy was keeping loose with a few sessions at Glen Beach and Llandudno, under the watchful eye of Ryan Miller, who took these photographs.

Jordy, and the rest of the surfing world, is stoked to have Jordy back on tour after his Teahupo’o injury. The South African has climbed back on with a vengeance, clocking a third in France and looking determined for a big result in Portugal.
